| The staff does know about the recent issues to everyone's home. Mine was affected too. We cannot do any LB redo to fix. I tried multiple times.
I will be available for assistance in fixing manually.

| For all the technogeeks who are wondering... There has been an issue with "Blacklist collisions". Which means, when people change things, then others come back to change over them, and then someone rolls back the first guy's stuff... there is a collision of player's edits. LogBlock's default is to change back all of the first player's blocks, but not the second players. There was a server-wide 100 day rollback inclusion of all player's edits simultaneously. This was the result of an oversight in coding... So why can't we fix this? It's because of the blacklist collisions. The Partial bit of data that was rolled back over top of other player's edits can not be rolled back further to an earlier state, because that was the move which caused the BLCollisions, and it can't be redone back to before the initial undo, because it would have to be redone in the exact order it was undone, which isn't recorded, and already unfixable the moment someone touched a block. Redo PlayerA, Then PlayerB, Then PlayerC... like that. This way, whomever edited the block last will be redone first. But such a listing isn't recorded, neither is an algorithm humanly managable to reverse engineer.
I found all this information on github.com I hope it helps you understand what happened. Consider it a server-wide hurricane. No one can blame anyone for what happened, as it was an accident. It was an oversight which anyone would have made. All the moderators are scrambling relief while ignoring thier own perils as their homes were befuddilingly destroyed. I was one of the first to recover some of my lost equipment, and I'm currently rebuilding (It's very very bad, guys). But I am hopeful. No one will "just get free diamonds", but please contact a mod for assistance... They can still see what was in the chests to verify it's contents using toolblock.
Beyond that, if anyone has any broken machienery that they cannot make sense of, let me know. I'll take a pass over it to see if I cannot get it up and running again.

| It can't be fixed because there is also a gap in the logs. Someone who had console access restarted the server at some point in it's existence without also restarting the MySql cmd prompt. This MySql cmd prompt is where LB will save edits, so when it was off with the server on, nothing was being logged for that time. Regardless, server login info was changed, only 3 people have it now.
Black list collisions coupled with this gap (or heck maybe there's more than one instance) caused the utter rape of builds.
This can possibly happen again, but it won't matter now as I've added a true off file backup plugin. It occurs every four days. So if it does happen, we'll have proper backups, cause bukkit's default backup actually does nothing. | |

| I didn't realize that many people had access to the server login. I knew about you, Evil, G1, and Miz (of course). | |

| We had given it to a couple other people for EXTREME circumstances only. Since I have yet to move out of the country, anyone who restarted the server improperly most likely did so either a: they were storm, g1 or myself, or b: they ignored my warning of logging in under EXTREME circumstances only.
Just another tip: If you're ever in a position where the server needs to be restarted, ALWAYS contact me, g1 or storm first. if you can't reach us, ask miko to text me. |
